You can choose to register for Friday only, Saturday only, or for both days of training. You can also choose to attend onsite in Langley or participate via live-stream.

Workshop Sessions on Friday, June 3: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Workshop 1 - Children’s Ministry as Family Ministry
The teaching from this workshop explores how churches can resource and partner with families to make the home the primary place for faith formation.

Workshop 2 – Preparation Skills for Ministering to Children
Children's ministry workers need to be growing their own faith before they can nurture a child's faith. This workshop examines the key areas that children's ministry workers need to grow in.

Workshop Sessions on Saturday, June 4: 9:00-4:00

Workshop 3 – What Children Need from Your Church
This workshop will emphasize several key implications for how churches can best disciple children based on the ground-breaking study called Hemorrhaging Faith (why Canadian young adults stay or leave the church).

Workshop 4 – Teaching Skills for Ministering to Children 1
This workshop identifies how to effectively teach a child by reaching their head, heart, hands, and senses. Skills such as active listening, discipline, and asking questions are also highlighted.

This is the second half of the previous workshop.

Workshop 6 – Shepherding Skills for Ministering to Children
This workshop focuses on specific shepherding skills such as relationship building, equipping, and encouraging.

Workshop 7 – Mobilizing Children into Ministry
The teaching from this workshop provides practical steps for equipping children as well as philosophical convictions about the ability of all people to minister and serve.

Workshop 8 – Recruiting and Serving Volunteers
This workshop provides a strategic foundation for recruiting and partnering with volunteers to serve in children's ministry.
